Has anybody tried Pinterest? It's a new social networking blog where you build boards and pin your favorite pictures and websites to it. It's invitation only but I applied and was accepted pretty quickly.

I read on one of my webmaster newsletters that it's an up and coming thing in social networking. I do get quite a bit of traffic from it already and I guess any traffic is good traffic.

My knitting blog lends itself to Pinterest because each article has a photo I can pin. Some blogs and websites might not have a photo that's relevant to a board you can build.

It's kind of fun though. You pin things and then people "like" them or repin them.

I've heard a lot of hype about pinterest and interestingly enough I went on my site/blog traffic log today and noticed that I'm getting quite a bit of traffic from there this month.

Looks fun but I don't have time for it and as my MIL likes to say why keep a dog and bark yourself. If other people are already pinning my free workouts site I see no need to go over there and do it myself : )

I just finally got a pinterest account up and running - it's quick to do, and it means I can actively add in things that I want to get traffic on. Here's my page -

It's super easy to use, meaning it's no extra work. So when I'm promoting a given article it's one click to add that article into my library and make sure it's promoted on pinterest too.

I do recommend people look into using this.

I love Pinterest....it is so addicting! Now all I need to do is start accomplishing some of the things I pin lol

Pinterest came up in another forum so I'm guessing it is becoming the social networking du jour...so I'll be checking it out soon.

OK I'm following everyone.

I hesitate to mention Pinterest to all the editors because I know several are feeling stressed already just by Twitter and Facebook, which both are very important. However, I think Pinterest is a very specific kind of niche that certain editors would thrive in. It's very visual. So while some editors can ignore it, if they're in non-visual areas, other editors might get massive traffic by putting images in there.
