This year, instead of preparing a traditional Thanksgiving day menu, I prepared a menu of mini favorite items for each family member (ham, sweet potatoes, macaroni & cheese, spaghetti, salad, cheesecake and apple-cherry tart-I was the only one with a vegetable for a favorite). This cut back on having 2 many left overs. We visited 3 households to express love and drop off food. Then, we returned home 2 a cozy fire and retreated to our own personal corners of the house.
It was heavenly.

Sounds like you had a very special day and I love the "uniqueness" of how it all went.
Me, was at the office while he slept and got ready for today. He is in retail and you know how "Black Fridays" are(lol).
I don't miss them at all - used to work as a cashier for WalMart several years ago.

What a lovely idea, Yvonnie! We had my Dad and his girlfriend over, and Bob made a dinner with all our favorites. Traditional things like yams, green beans with garlic, carrots-and-turnips, and so on. I'm having leftovers right now, it was delicious

Black Friday...I never invest enough time in it to benefit. I did, though, work at Banana Republic, at age 19, for Black Friday. I loved it!
