In the article on working with fictional archetypes I covered some of the uses of integrating these beings into magick and everyday life. What experiences have you had?

One of the other fictional archetypes I used extensively when I was a visiting Pagan Chaplin was the character of Barney from the Hannibal Lecter series of books. He was polite to Lecter and learned a lot from him but never for an instant forgot that he was extremely dangerous individual and always remained on guard. Very useful character.

Ian, I really enjoyed your article. And it makes a lot of sense... in fact, who is to say that in 1,000 years the characters we knew as "fictional archetypes" don't become characters of mythology

When my children were little, I introduced them to their dream ally. They each chose a fictional character - and it worked splendidly for them.

They already have with the Star Trek Druids !

Very interesting article and input. I work with Homunculi, though they are not fictitious they are easy (and pleasant) to live with and I also send them off to assist others if there is a need. They are exact doubles of me in every sense, so they act and react as I would and they report to me in a way they know I understand in an instant. They know everything I know, they in truth, are me, so they bring learning to me as they report to me, and they apply any required knowledge or healing. Combining High Magic with Divine Magic is a natural step, and I think each person steps onto a path would benefit from working personally with their Homnunculus (before increasing their number).
