I loved your article Sabira laugh

My son is quite the drummer - so yesterday my hubby, who plays guitar, and I and my son jammed. It was SOOOOO fun!! I really want to start up something with my kids.

What I'd LOVE is if I could get my daughter to learn keyboard, I could play acoustic, and my son could drum - and we could go out and do my originals in spiritual/new agey venues.

My daughter just rolls her eyes at me though :sad: I'm like "come sweetie - how about tamborine and back up vocals."

"I'll think about it." LOL.

How old are your kids?

Does your daughter sing or play an instrument now?

My daughter became more interested in performing after attending live performances and becoming inspired by them. And also we integrated some styles she liked to dance to.

I think the eye rolling stage usually passes. :-)

Will your kids and hubby come with you to the SD gathering?

Terrific article Sabira. Families nowadays don't share very much it seems. This is a great way to involve your kids and get some quality family fun time! Love your insights!

There are so many ways to share this, so many forms of musicianship... and for those who do not yet play instruments - even karaoke lends itself very well to talent enhancing family get-togethers! :-)
