I just drove into my driveway and before getting out of the car, I watched a few little sparrows at the feeders, a mere few feet from where I sat. One of them was facing me so all I could really see was her tummy, and it looked, well, if not exactly *white*, then so light-coloured. From the top of her head and all the way down her front. Her tail looked normal, though. I didn't want to get out of the car because I knew threy'd fly away at the movement. But eventually, I did. She wasn't white on her back but appeared to be much lighter in colour than the other female sparrows I see all the time. Is this just a feature of a very young baby, recently fledged or could she be *different*?
