It won't be long before spring appears. What are you planning this year for your herb garden?

I can't wait for spring! I want to get a new rosemary this year as my old one is getting leggy and kind of spent looking. I'd also like to do more parsley this year. Last year I made some really delicious Greek type salads made mostly of parsley.

I'd like to add one new herb each year too so I can try some new recipes with it. Not sure what this year yet.

My mint and chives are already popping a few green shoots. My parsley survived a cold and frosty winter. My thyme is still alive but that is about it. Will make a list of all the herbs I want to grow this year.

its great when spring comes around shoots coming up and others to be sown, i love herbs and flowers garlic is a favourite of mine along with rosemary, there are so many herbs that can be used for medicinal purposes.i always use mixed herbs in an infusion with boiled lemonade, to this i add nettle leaves and nettle flowers and the flowers from the honeysuckle. i let them all boil together for about 5 minutes and cover them to stand and cool. excellent for colds and flu and to relieve arthtitis pain. you can add a spoonful or two of honey if you prefer it sweeter.
