Oops! my first Poll. That last topic should be left open for writing the style you practice but did it wrong. Perhaps you can put it in the replies?

Ninjahedgewych, What kind of martial arts do you know? I used to take Shao Lin from a master in Los Angeles. I recommend at least a little of it for every person. It is truly a character builder. While doing my sets I would watch kids look through the door to the school and one by one they would find their way in and begin lessons. I knew that some of these kids were part of gangs but in doing their lesssons they changed their focus and changed their lives. Our teacher, that we called SIFU, was responsible for steering many kids out of gang activity and probably saved many lives that were originally headed for drug trade, prison, or death. He was a COOL teacher and I believe in the Martial arts very much!!!!

I started off in formal martial arts with Aikido, then Fung Sau Kung Fu, then in 1986 began training in Bujinkan Ninpo Shinbobi kai . I have also written articles on Aikido and Wing Chung from a Pagan perspective on the Pagan site here

I used to do Karoshi, I really need to get back into it or another form. I was thinking of kick boxing but I would rather a martial art. I also used to Ti Chi (misspelled ?). That was wonderful in helping me to meditate. I could hold my visualization longer.

There are many excellent martial art systems and instructors, the trick is to look around for one that is right for you. I have covered Aikido and Wing Chung Kung Fu from the Pagan perspective on the Pagan site. Many of the 'Soft' arts such as Tai Chi, Bwa Ga, and Fung Sau use visualization as part of their training. As do many of the Traditional Japanese Budo such as Ninjitsu, Shorinji Kempo, and Gyokko Ryu. Just keep looking and asking around until you find one right for you.

I must admit to not knowing anything about Karoshi - what are the origins of that style?
