I love the way you laugh,I hate it when you cry. The birds come out singing, then you wave your cares goodbye. I love the way you smile,I hate when it when you frown People get overexcited when, you act the funny clown. I love it when your here,I hate it when your away I promise i`m going nowhere, for I'm here to stay. I love it when its dark, when the moon shines so bright I love it when you kiss me,then we cuddle and say goodnight. I love it when I wake in the morning, when your laying next to me I love how our future is not visual, how its not been planned to see. This is goodnight my dear.please smile and save your tears This is out future,we will last years. Please feel free to tell me what u think

Hello cubey, and thank you for sharing your poem!

Rhyming is quite difficult to do and keep a consistent natural rhythm throughout. Yet you have managed this pretty well.

Don't forget that "you are" is actually "you're" rather than "your". (common mistake!)

Beautiful sentiment, a very loving poem. Thanks again for sharing.

Unfortunately, rejection is a large part of the publication of any type of writing- poetry, prose, fiction, non-fiction, etc. The key is to know you're not alone, and that a rejection is not a personal rejection, but may have many other reasons. Famous writers and poets collect hundreds throughout their career. Just part of it! If you're interested, do research to find places that publish the type of poetry you write (it's surprising how many people are rejected just because they didn't do their homework and sent a sonnet to a magazine that favors free verse!). Then, write write write and submit submit submit. Persevere and you will see results. Best of luck!

Nice sentiments in the poem.

There is nothing wrong with rhyming poetry, however I know that some publishers frown upon it being submitted for contests and the ones who do accept it are very strict about what they will accept.

At some point you may want to try your hand at different styles of poetry writing.

That's right. There are certainly plenty of rhyming modern poets out there (though perhaps not as many as in the past). Oftentimes publishers will say whether or not they accept and/or prefer rhymed poetry. Be sure to read through all the guidelines before submitting.

And, as always, keep writing! smile
