spelling could be off on this one - I planted my tropical plant outside in the garden. I will just hope for the best. Does anyone know anything about this plant? Can I take a cutting in the fall and bring it in and start over again? Does it root in water or soil? Suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Both are semi-tropical vines that require FULL sun(8 or more hours of DIRECT FULL sunlight) to bloom their best... I have brought them in and had luck putting them back out to revive after babying all winter BUT they were potted. I have never tried cuttings of these particular vines...

Thanks - I planted my outside - it's doomed unless I can take a cutting. Do you prune yours and how much?

I say dig it back up in fall, yes you can prune it back, no idea about a cutting for it. What zone are you in? I do know that they are hardy up to 30 degrees. My Mandevilla in SC did come back, but if you are say in FL, TX, So Cal, it may over winter for you.

I'm in VA so we get pretty cold at times. I'll tackle digging it up in the fall. Thanks for the tip.

I was thinking about trying to root a stem into a pot of soil and starting a new plant.
