I can totally see why you're upset by this. We need to feel loved and appreciated. How is your relationship with SD? Has DH ever been verbally and physically affectionate? If so, then I would remind him of all of the sweet things he used to do -- hold your hand, call you, hug you...And tell him that you miss those things and would love to bring them back to the relationship. Do you try to initiate loving contact? What does he do when you do, does he reciprocate?

How are things going with him? Better, I hope! My step sons live directly across the street so I don't see a break coming anytime soon. I get a break during the day while they go to school though. Glad to see you back on!

Must be because they're not there to manipulate the situation. Shame gal, it must be hectic to have "the kids" living across the street from you?! Thinking of you, hun! (((HUGS)))

I've been off for a few days. We are splitting up and his oldest seems so giddy about it. I feel lost.

Oh no! I'm so sorry to hear alliegirl! Huge, huge hugs dear friend! I'm also not doing to great at this point in time. My DH cursed me again this morning. How am I suppose to respect someone like this? Take care, dear friend. What goes around will come around for the little smuck of a kid!

Just be happy the SD is 18 and in Province! Imagine her being 7 and you having to deal with this up close for 11 years!

Unfortunately I've been "dealing" with her since she was 11 going on 12. So it's been quite some time and yet no light at the end of the tunnel.
