I was making paper cranes with my old page a day calendar pages, but my desk is overflowing with cranes already. I keep most of my notes in notebooks so I can go back to them (even trivial notes are often helpful if I need to remember what I did on a given day later), so recycling them that way doesn't work for me.
I need new ideas!

I make tons of origami cranes and carry them in my purse. I just gave away a bunch at my last meditation class - I gave one to each class member and they really loved them. I put them with my tip when I go out to eat. Carry the cranes with you, and you'll find a ready audience for your sharing!

Thanks Lisa, that does sound like a fun way to use them! I hadn't really thought of giving single cranes, probably because I'm overly familiar with the tradition of giving 1000.
