It says that when you are not interested in fashion, it means you are becoming old. But i do't think so, fashio is a spirit. How about your fashion ideas?

Kerrylee,
I don't think fashion has anything to do with age. I think part of it is self-esteem and part of it is that some people just like to wear what they like without a thought to fashion...kind of like me...lol put me in a sweatshirt, sweat pants and sneakers and I'm totally happy! Great question.

Totally agree as fashion should not be dictated by age. Rather I think you should be guided by clothes that seem right for you even if they are the very latest fashion

I don't agree with you dear, Fashion can change according to age because a thing that now I like but after 10 or 20 year after i should have that.

the age is not related to the fashion.

..that goes with men too. The kids and I were watching hubby go through some of his clothes because he was packing for a trip. A lot of the stuff he has and wanted to wear look cool on a 15-20 something year old...but a man in his 40's...

There just wasn't a nice way to tell him that "babe...no" He said these are fresh all the kids are wearing these..."yeah babe, but you're not a kid" We were trying to be humerous about it...but I know it hurt his feelings a little bit.

So he took what he wanted to wear, despite my warnings that he should probably pack a suit. He took jeans (not nicely fitting ones), oversized shirts and some timberland boots. First day away he called..."you were right, they all have on suits." but he was trying to be "hip" and take what he thought would fit in because he assumed they would all be young and hip. "Babe...they sell insurance"

I think there are 2 topics here; fashion, as in "the latest thing in all the expensive stores" and style, as in "I know what I like to wear and what looks good on me".
Fashion changes every season and you can chase it all your life if that is what is important to you. Style is ageless; when you find yours you can stick with it forever and always look great.

Perhaps as you get older fashion choices become more instinctive as you better understand what you feel good in and what looks good on. Maybe it is not a matter of being less interested but simply not having to think about it as much...just a thought...
the age is not related to the fashion.
I am absolutely agreed with your views. But I believe that fashion changes according to age.

I think of fashion as a love for clothes that make you feel pretty and help you look good - whether or not they are the "latest style." I believe that's true for women at any age, and we are lucky as women to have such a variety of lovely things to choose to wear. Of course, some things that look good on a 20-year-old might look rather silly on a 50-year-old, so a woman has to be conscious of that. But, on the other hand, look at Madonna... *AJ*
