When I saw this article, it really had me thinking about how I currently view our President.
Last year I saw the most incredible landslide victory that I will probably ever see in my life and even though I'm not a Democrat, and didn't vote for Obama, I have to admit I started wondering back then how any person could live up to so such high standards set not only by him but by his supporters.
Of course, there have been things that President Obama perhaps would like to do, but can't because our President can't just snap his fingers and get results. I don't think Obama saw that, or saw it clearly enough, a year ago. I believe he's seeing it now.
I don't envy Obama in his current position, but I do respect him a lot more than I did a year ago, when I thought he just wasn't the right person for the job. Maybe that's still true, but he's certainly getting a much closer and more difficult look at what he stepped into the middle of. And the stress level must be right through the roof.
I know it's normal for people to cool down after the election, but in this case, after such high hopes were placed on him, President Obama has to be dealing with a lot more than he expected that's for sure!
