This thread is for all of the funny adoption stories out there, from home study visits to funny comments your kids have made.
Here's one to get us started:
One little boy was shopping with his Mom for a baby gift. The gift was for his Aunt, who was expecting her first child.
When his Mom explained that the Aunt would be in the hospital any day now, but then they could go visit as soon as she got home, the boy became very concerned.
The Mom explained that she was going to the hospital to have a baby, not because she was sick.
The young boy, fully aware and excited about his own adoption, said, "You mean Aunt Julie doesn't get to go an airplane and travel to pick up her baby? That's so sad, Mommy! We should get her a gift to cheer her up!"
In time, as he got older, the Mom was able to explain things in more detail, lol. She said they spent so much time talking about adoption that she, without meaning to, left out the fact that not everyone gets on a plane to meet their baby for the first time.
Any other funny or amusing adoption stories out there?
