Does anyone have a celebration for the Autumn Equinox?

I am a solitary practitioner so I do not have a formal celebration. I am planning a trip to the apple orchard and probably the pumpkin patch. I will probably celebrate with a fresh apple pie.

Teresa, I read your article on Mabon. It is very interesting. What other foods, herbs, rituals, traditions are part of the Mabon celebration events?

I particularly like the prayers for Mabon that give thanks for blessings and ask for others not so fortunate to receive an abundance of blessings and harvest. This is one of the Native American traditions, to give thanks for blessings and abundance of harvest and ask for gifts of food and blessings for the less fortunate. I wish you enough, is one of the things I often tell others when I pray that they will receive enough of all that they need.

Well this year for Mabon My family and several of my friends whom are also solitary practitioners got together for a dinner and discussed our various chosen paths. It was nice to connect and feel a since of community.
