hi ladies, I'm relieved to find a forum about the novasure procedure. I had the novasure procedure, the leep procedure (the tip of the cervix is removed). I had all three done at the same time last Thursday. Is it normal to notice a slight odor, when the clear discharge is happening? I'm confused I went to the doctor, a nurse practioner. And she told me she didnt see signs of anything being wrong. Should I worry? I'm only 25 years old and my uterus has giving me a run for my money. Not to mention I found out on the day of surgery that I have pre-cancerous cells on my cervix. Which is why the tip of my cervix was removed. To any ladies who have had this procedure. Is a slight odor normal? Or should I be worried about infection? Help!

I know this is a late response to your post but I am so happy with my results. I had my procedure (hysteroscopy, d&c, Novasure) on 9-2-08. Novasure was the absolute best thing I could have done for myself. I went from bleeding almost daily to having only two or three episodes of a pinkish tinge on the toilet paper. I am thrilled! I wish you the best of luck.

Hi, I am considering Novasure for regular, consistent periods - 1 week on 1 week off. Have tried 3 monthly needle in the bum - that gave me a consistent 6 week period. Has anyone else gone down this track for frequent periods rather than heavy, montly ones?

Month 13 1/2 post op. Novasure worked so awesome for me for an entire year. last month i was surprised to get some bleeding-but it lasted just the one time i went to the bathroom. today i get another period with some cramping and this time its like a real period-been going on all day and i know its a period because as i stated in other posts ive always kept it on the calendar of when i should get one in case i did. im upset because i went thru a lot to make the decision of getting the ablation. i was so happy in the past year because before Novasure i suffered severely-with major cramps and such a heacy flow that i could not function. i was planning my whole life around my periods. now i am afraid that they are back and dont know what to do. i can deal with a period if its not heavy and the cramps are minimal. but i certainly can NOT go back to the way it was before the ablation. im tired of suffering and simply am too afraid for my body to start acting up again. has anyone started getting their periods again after so many months with out one? i cant find andywhere on the web that explains how and or why the endometrium grows back. i surely thought this procedure removes it and destroys it to never grow back.

Hi. I was originally going to have this procedure in May, but reading some of the stuff on-line freaked me out so I rescheduled to today. I had the procedure done at 7:15 am this morning. It was a very easy procedure. I am in NO pain. I woke up in recovery and do not recall anything after my husband kissing me by before surgery. On the way home I can say I had some very mild/minimal menstrual cramp feeling. When I got home I took a pain pill anticipating some pain and slept for several hours. I woke up and still had no pain. It's 9 pm an I still have no pain, not even the mild/minimal menstrual cramp feeling. I have been doing my normal household routine with no problems. I really do not even feel like I have had surgery. I did leave the hospital with a pad in case of discharge, I had some on the pad at the hospital right before leaving, but have had none since. Just basic stats... I am 35, married, 4 kids ranging in ages from 6-16.
