Greetings Redfrangipani:

Its interesting that you should bring up this topic. I just read a very good young adult novel that deals with this issue. Its called Sandpiper by Ellen Wittlinger. I cant say what the mistake was or Id give away the story. But it was a terrible one that a very young man had to deal with.

Anyway if it were me, I wouldnt try to go through something like that alone. Id get professional help and support right away.

What would you suggest?

I do agree that you probably want someone trained to talk with if you mistakenly hurt or killed someone else. That would be a great burden of guilt to manage alone.

If I talk about my self I handle them by just to feel guilty about it and say sorry and to promise not do it again.

Kevin,

Yes, a heartfelt apology can go a long way.

Accepting the mistake you have done is the most important thing that helps in reviving from the guilt of mistakes. One more thing which must be noted is never to repeat such mistakes to perform better.
