People who follow a Mediterranean diet, rich in Omega-3 fatty acids, can improve their health and indirectly reduce their allergies. A Mediterranean diet is heavy on fish, healthy oils, such as olive oil, whole grains, and fruits and vegetables. Has anyone experienced improved health since shifting to such a diet? Great article. I think reducing inflammation is the key to why omega 3's improve allergies. An anti-inflammatory diet is helpful for allergies, heart disease, arthritis and lots more health problems.

We eat pretty much by the Mediterranean diet. My husband had high b/p and cholesterol, which we've reduced through diet. It also helped his blood sugar. My allergies have improved too since we started eating this way.

We do take supplements of omega 3's as well.
