Hi, I agree I use story meditations with my two children - it really does relax them! Relax kids are also great books with fairytales that children can relate to as they are fairytale meditations. Amanda x www.gsha.co.uk

Thank you Susan, nice article and I have been meaning to check out your ebook for young kids, so this will spur me to do so. I have three preschoolers, and do various breathing and nature type things with them. I also just came across a 'mind-jar' meditation technique in a book called Moody Cow Meditates that my eldest (almost 5) loves (my 3 year old twins are a little too young for it.) It's basically a home-made snowglobe type thing, and she just sits and breathes while she watches all the sparkles settle on the bottom...Very calming!
Thanks for all you do to get meditation out there for kids, it is so important I think, especially in this day and age.

Lisa, thank you for your appreciation - it means a lot to me to get positive feedback occasionally instead of just questions.

There's a big difference between 3 and 5 years. But I've had success teaching the youngest through guided relaxation meditations combined with soothing music.
