From time to time I find myself stuck in elevators. These seemed to be quite "normal" elevators when I get in - but then I cannot get out.
They are just passing by the story I want to get off, and the door doesn't open too. So I am trapped. Sometimes the elevator goes on and on, surpassing the upper storey. One time the elevator was going HORIZONTAL!

In the end I always manage to get out of the trap (I cannot remember how), but I am very afraid in these elevators.

This only happens in my dreams, I forgot to add. Only once I got stuck in an elevator in real life - for about 20 minutes.

Well, I shouldn't call it "stuck" - it's rather "trapped", and it feels like it's going to be dangerous, there is no control, and it feels like I'd never get out.

In an elevator our perception is focused upon being lifted up or dropped downwards. These bodily perceived sensations of being lifted or dropped can be equated with emotional uplifts and let downs. The elevator can be regarded as pertaining to a situation and a way of thinking that involves the idea of giving oneself a lift or morale boost. Often concern about allowing oneself to feel good about oneself can cause some strange elevator dream scenes

When getting off at any particular floor, that floor represents the level of intelligence that justifies your use of the idea of a morale boost. An elevator refusing to stop at your selected floor would indicate that while you are willing to make use of a way of thinking that allows you to enjoy a morale boost, you cannot find the level of intelligence that will justify you using the idea of giving yourself a moral boost.

The elevator moving horizontally would suggest that your way of thinking about the idea of giving yourself a morale boost is perfectly on the level very legitimate, honest or truthful. However this is not getting you anywhere; a lateral move is not progress. You are not using the system correctly.

Your fear of the elevators would strongly indicate a fear of allowing yourself to feel good about yourself.

i always, or nearly always, want to go UP.

Indeed, I have an innate (no, it's my education) fear of allowing myself to feel good about myself - and to feel good AT ALL.
