That's terrific, Angie! What did you have on the counter before?
We have on ours: Pur water filter pitcher thingie. An assortment of loose teas in jars. Fruit in a basket. Dishsoap, sponges in a bowl, a bleach mix in a spray bottle for santizing. Hand lotion.
The coffee maker is in a cabinet with the cord running out so we can use it right where it is.
The dish gloves we keep in a clip magnet on the side of the light fixture near the sink.
We have too many magnets, now that i am looking. The fridge is not magnetic, so they are stuck to the microwave that hangs over the stovetop.
I could probably pare those down.

My motivation showed up this afternoon; after the long gloom of winter the sun has crept around to where it is shining in corners that it hasn't seen since last fall. All of a sudden all sorts of overlooked bits of dirt are painfully visible, sparkling in the bright sun. No wonder it is called Spring Cleaning!

I had dishes, pots, pans, stuff, that didn't belong there. I started at one end of the counter and worked my way around. There are some things that stay on the counter all the time because I use them so often.

We have a big water filter so that definitely is staying on the counter - we use it ALL the time. The crock pot is on there and is in constant use so that is in a good spot too. But the rest is random junk that really should go!
