Hi, Christine. I just read your article about carryons. I have a couple of suggestions. If I MUST take something that's more than 3 ounces or is in an aerosol container and I'm going to one place (rather than going from city to city) then I Fed Ex it to my hotel. It's a little expensive but if I need it, I need it. Also, I use a rolling duffle bag now that is a bright orange print (I got the Orange Juice Aloha from LL Bean) because it's pretty light (so I can carry more stuff!) and if it has to get checked then I can always spot it on the carousel!

Barbara - I am so on board with the unique luggage... it makes it so much easier to find, plus I think that when it's unique it has a tendency to not get lost in a sea of black bags for the airline employees either. Good call. I haven't overnighted anything to the hotel yet... but agree that the expense is worth it for those must haves!
