Reading runs in our family. My mother said I was six-weeks-old the first time I went to the library.
My question is: Where to do get your books?
The library? Buy from the book store? Buy books online? Share books with family and friends?
Curiosity and coffee combo came up with numerous questions this morning!

I get my books all over the place! I go to the library, for sure. I buy things at local bookstores and online. I also get them from paperbackswap.com, which I can't recommend enough. It's been great. I share books with friends and family, sometimes, but we all have such different tastes, it's hard to share. I've won a few books lately, too! That's been cool.

Barbara, I'm sure getting books all over the place is pretty common - so many books, so little time! My daughters and sister are all avid readers and we pass books around or at least mention them (we live quite a ways apart). My eldest daughter and I have the same taste and favorite authors, so that is fun. Congrats on winning books, that is cool. I just received a Debbie Macomber paperback with two Christmas themed stories just before Christmas. I had signed her website guestbook about two years ago, and my name was drawn a couple of months ago. The book arrived just in time for the holiday. Where are you winning the books? Websites? Care to share? Thanks for stopping by - look forward to hearing from you soon.

I am a member at Bookbrowse.com and I won books there - one of which was the sequel to one of my favorite books ever. (Good in Bed was favorite book, Certain Girls the sequel.) I've also won books from author contests on their websites and from a local independent bookstore. It's been fun! I haven't won anything like that since I was in elementary school (I used to win radio call-in contests all the time) so it was fun. Now, it's someone else's turn.

Dianne, two of my favorite places are garage sales and antique shops. I love old books, so any antique place have plenty of books. When I was younger, my mother's book case was a great place to pick up books. She had a ton! Now most have been given away, sold, or hidden for safe keeping. Thanks for stopping by.

I buy online. When I lived in a big city I would also buy in stores. There are book stores here but translated and original French books are rare.
