Hi Nicki,

What a coincidence! I wrote an article about making a flower girl dress for a doll, this week.

Both my daughter and granddaughter have been flower girls. My daughter, who is now 31, was a flower girl at the age of 4. My granddaughter was a flower girl in October for my son's wedding, also at the age of 4. I was lucky enough to have made both their dresses and they are such wonderful memories.

I can certainly see, from my own experience, how important it is to prepare the little girl for the big day.

Thanks for the post -- please post a link here to your doll dress article! That is a funny coincidence. It really was such a great experience for her. For me, seeing her so poised and grown up, it was so odd.. made me realize how short a time it will seem until I am the mother of the bride instead of mother of the flower girl.
