I read yet another book that emphasizes that eating breakfast is key for being healthy. It gets your metabolism going so it processed food efficiently and burns fat. If you skip breakfast you in essence gain weight never mind cause your body health issues.
I have an EAS protein shake every morning - I'm just not in the mood to "eat" but I know I have to do something.
Does everyone eat breakfast? What do you have?

I have breakfast every morning. Usually it's a high fibre cereal topped with sunflower seeds and blueberries ... sometimes raspberries. Sometimes a grapefruit in addition. Lots of water with that

Lisa, Yes I eat breakfast, my fav is a huge piping hot bowl of "real" oatmeal. I load it up with fruit, some days cinnamon,or nuts! Yummy!
It does keep me full longer, but when I burn it off I get immediately hungry, I have to eat again soon then!

Usually when I eat breakfast, I'm hungrier before lunch. When I don't eat breakfast, I'm fine until 2-3 in the afternoon. Since I'm trying to lose weight now, I try to eat breakfast, then lighter meals as I go through the day. It's just hard, since my morning is usually spent answering e-mails as opposed to cooking breakfast.

I really have to eat breakfast or I fade at around 11am. Normally I have some cereals with honey and either fresh or dried fruit. On the weekend I quite like poached eggs on toast.

I have a blueberry-green tea smoothie every morning for breakfast or sometimes a high fiber cereal. I also have read about the importance of eating breakfast for keeping blood sugar balanced. I even read you should eat breakfast within 45 minutes of rising each day.
Sometimes, when I get rushed or just don't feel like breakfast until later, I at least eat a hard boiled egg or some lean turkey to get some protein.
It doesn't really matter what you eat, as long as it's healthy. I've even eaten leftovers from dinner in the morning.

uggh, eating the morning! I think its because everything seems to be an effort when your half asleep. Now that I have a juicer its easier. Breakfast is either vegetable juice with a scoop of protein powder. Or scoop of protein powder, with my greens. Tastes gross but i must say it does give me energy!

Well they say that breakfast is the most important meal but when I was working it was just coffee and out the door. I can't eat or even think of eating shortly after waking. Breakfast was mostly on the w/e then. Now that I am unemployed I am eating breakfast. Usually oatmeal(quick not instant) and other times could be toast and eggs, waffles, french toast, whatever I'm in the mood for but then I don't feel up to lunch. My NY's resolution is to get more into healthier 3 meals a day. That also is not so easy cause of my non consistant schedule. It's very hard to eat well (fresh fruits and veggies) on a limited budget.
