My daughter and I have always loved the books of Jane Austin. Of course, the movies are good too. We just recently picked up the movie called "The Jane Austin Book Club". I started reading Mansfield Park.
What are your favorites?

Jane Austin is timeless. Her characters describe people you know today but are in costume and set in the late 1700s. Her dialogs are beautiful. What a great understanding she had of people.

I saw that movie at the library yesterday but didn't pick it up. What is it about?

I agree. A lot of the Victorian Era writers you have to really take your time and focus on what is being said because of the big and sometimes just sublte differences in the language usage then compared to now.
