Hi I'm new...I am also battling severe pain every month since I had the Novasure procedure in December of 2005. Does anyone have any experience with this? The pain is so bad it wakes me up at night, and I have vomited. There seems to be no explanation for this besides a miniscule fibroid, which my GYN doesn't think could cause this kind of pain. I'm grateful that I am a SAHM because I'm sure I would have lost a job or two by now. This is a better month, I am actually out of bed. I am going back to the GYN next week, but I really want to know if anyone else has had this problem! Thanks!

HI, I just found this site today. I had the novasure the first of the year. I had bleeding for the first month but now i am so bloated and i feel like i am full of gas. I read that you can have a air or gas embolism. I'm not real sure what that is or if that is what i have going on. I do now that this is getting really bad. On a bad day i look like i'm about 3-5 months pregnant. I feel like i'm not going to get anything from my doctors office. This is the second surgery i have had for this. I'm tired of all of this!!

chris sometimes you can have blood building up between the burnt part of your uterus and the nonburnt part this is usually what happens if you are looking pregnant talk to your dr they can do tests to rule it out good luck charlene

HI
Did you get your tubes tied?? I had my tubes tied during my c-section of my 3rd child. i was told there were NO side effects and risks were mininum. I now beleive this is the start of many issues: my tubes were tied in sept '05, i breastfed for a year, the following year, my periods progressed into very very heavy flows and very very painful. i had Novasure done and a removal of a polyp in June '06. i felt GREAT for several months. Then the PAIN started to return and progressed into STABBING PAIN! In jan '08, i was diagnosed with adenomyosis. i was put on the pill to control the pain. Now i'm in pain for 2 weeks out of the month. I believe my ovaries are starting to FAIL from the lack of blood flow from the tubal ligation. I feel many other premenaposal systems starting to happen ( hot flashes etc). I think having a hysterecomy is NOT the answer. I read, "what the doctors don't tell you about tubal ligations". " Womens bodies womens wisdom" by Christine Northrup. I have ordered another book " no more hysterecomies" by Dr. Vickki Hufnagel. There are OTHER SOLUTIONS. i am searched for answers, i will be chaning doctors and searching for the right one for ME. If you know if anybody has had Reconstructive Female Surgery or tubal ligation reversal, please post outcome on website.

We are all in the same situation. God Bless.
Thanks!

Hello
I too, had a tubal, then followed witht he Novasure procedure alond with a bladder sling operation.
I too had the discharge for about 6 weeks after the procedure, but after that was over with I felt FANTASTIC for about a year!
Well...then the dreadful pain started viditing every month.
The pain is so bad that I can't even use the bathroom.
I went back to my doctor, and he thought maybe I had a blockage at the top of my uterus, on top of the pain I was already experiencing, that procedure wasn't pleasant! My doctor determined that that was not the problem and wanted me to return the following month when the pain returned.
I received a call from his nurse, with some follow up questions, she said she was calling all the women in their practice who has the novasure procedure. I told her what I was experiencing, and she said that so far she heard the same thing from the other women she had talked to.
I don't know what to do next....I thought I could just deal with the pain every month, beats 7 days of excessive bleeding, but the pain just seems to be getting a little stronger every month.
Any suggestions?
Thanks
Melissa
PS. I too am experiencing pre-menaposal sweating!

Hi,

I had the procedure done in January of this year. Periods are now very light which was the point of doing this. I had not really had cramps to speak of before the procedure but in the past 3 months I have one day/period where I can barely get out of bed and yesterday was contemplating taking some leftover vicodin. I don't like the side effects so doubled up on OTC pain control and used a heating pad. Will be scheduling with my Dr. soon. Hope all of the others experiencing this find relief smile Traded one problem for another I guess.

Hi, I'm new to the forum and i'm thinking of having the nova sure done. I have been having non stop bleeding for 48 days now and it is getting worse. I have an appointment schduled for this week. I had this happen to me about 3 years ago and had every test in the world done and they said it was a hormonal imbalance. I did acupuncture for 4 months and it help regulate me some what. I was having a period every 24 days and my periods were lasting 7 to 8 days. Acupuncture is not working now and I'm getting tired of spending most of my time in the bathroom. For those of you who were having problems afterwards are you getting any better or did you find the problem as to what is causing your pain?

Hi! I'm new too. I was trying to do some research about Novasure and came across this forum. I strted heavy bleeding after my first child (age 2) and it is back now after my son was born. (5 months) The bleeding is a nuisance but I have to say the hormone rollercoasters are the worst. I had Mirena(an IUD) implanted a few months ago and went CRAZY. I was so mean and bled the whole time. I had it removed 6 weeks later. I feel like my horomes should be back to normal after everything but I am still having bad mood swings. It is affecting my mothering and my marriage. Will Novasure help? I read a few blogs saying PMS symtoms got worse. Is this true? I cannot take that risk.
