Good day everyone. I am Hanah. I am simply here to explore the net, to find new circle of friends as well as to find something interesting to do, I am not really into forum sites but I thought trying something new for me might take away my boredom so here I am hoping to find a new hobby for my spare time and hopefully this may lead to addiction in posting just like what my friends said

Well anyway, let me say something about myself, I am 21 years old and I am currently staying in the Philippines, which is my parents' birth country. I been staying here for almost a year since I am taking up acting classes in the International Academy of Film and Television (IAFT)and so far I am getting bored if I am out of school especially on week ends so I thought finding and hanging out on a forum site during my boring days would be over...

Hi, Hanna--Not that forums aren't a great idea, but are you sure you want posting to be your new "hobby?" It is fun, but it lacks some of the features of what, to me, seem like more authentic hobbies. For instance, in hobbies that involve other people, you usually do not experience the annonymity of the internet (well, there are those internet games, I guess). What about learning or perfecting some sort of skill--do forums really give you that much in the way of sharpening your skills or talents?

It's fun the chat on the forums for sure; but I'd encourage you to cultivate one of your natural talents or one of your current curiosities--like learning to scuba dive, reading more, taking an art class. You get the picture. What do you think?
