Off hand, I can count 10 of them. I also have 2 giraffe batiks, a print of the Eiffel Tower morphing into a giraffe (purchased in Paris), and a giraffe purse... LOL

Some giraffes have already been shipped to my fiance's home in Florida. I'll be bringing some with me (and my flamingoes) when I visit in a few weeks. smile

Oh, I have seen some larger than my body wooden giraffes at Pier 1. I always liked those. But my dogs would just knock them down and break them.

have you seen them?

I've seen them - I just don't have room for them in my home. Well... if I got rid of my kids... LOL I do have two giraffes that came from Madagascar and are made of grasses. One is 6 feet tall & the other is about 3 feet tall. I'm glad the rest of my collection is small. It would be a pain to ship them. The grass giraffes can simply be tossed on top of the stuff in the truck that will bring my big stuff to FL. laugh

Ok, you must tell me just how to get a moving avatar like those giraffes running - I love it!!!

I have several giraffes, all about 18" or smaller. They are made of (I think) paper-mache and covered with a beautiful jungle print. I wish they were just giraffe-like hide, but they are quite pretty and realistic looking in their style. I also have some elephants and a gazelle made of the same material.

When my son was born, my father-in-law made him a little table that had giraffe legs and the long neck and head with the horns to hang things on. It was so cute!

Wow! Those sound really great!

I forgot I also have a giraffe glasses holder. It's made of wood (I got it at Wal-Mart, think I got the last one) and the way you put your glasses on the giraffe it looks like the giraffe is wearing the glasses. I also bought a zebra one for Michael. I'll give it to him on his birthday smile

Oh, my avatar is an animated .gif file. I have it saved on my server & link to it the area where you pick your avatar.

That reminded me of a picture I saw on http://ICanHasCheezburger.com - Jilly got me addicted to this site!
