If you eat just an extra 100 calories a day, that nets you a full 10 pounds over the year. That's how we all keep gaining weight!

How tiny is 100 calories?

It's only 2 Oreo cookies!

10 French Fries!

4 Hershey's Kisses!

A tiny 8oz of soda!

Keep an eye on the little splurges. They add up quickly. Find something healthy to snack on instead.

-----------------

Studies show that in the past year our intake has actually grown by 180 cal/day for men and 360 cal/day for women. So we are eating more calories every day due to processed foods, fast foods, high sugar foods, etc.

Wow, 16 pounds!! That is so great!

It's fine to splurge every once in a while if you want! Just focus on it as a splurge and not a daily event smile

You're exactly right, by keeping it to 2 slices and not 3 that's a huge difference smile

The next time make an eggplant pizza, those are SO tasty and very good for you!

Yes it really is amazing how just small differences in your diet add up quickly to huge weight gains. If our average intake has gotten almost 20 pounds a year "too much" then it's no wonder we are all gaining weight.

It's so unfair for thin people to be able to eat all the good food and stay slim, when i eat something good I pay the price of gaining weight ;o(

Ah but it's not about fariness smile It's about activity! People who are thin generally are active too. They have high metabolisms. The women I know who are thin are the ones who go out and do things, so they have muscle, so that burns off the things they eat.

So we just need to get you active and then you can eat things knowing your activities will burn those calories right off again smile

Are there nature trails near you that you can go for walks on and take pictures for us? smile
