Well, I'm all for childfree events, but as a New Orleans native, Mardi Gras is certainly not child free. There are some very family friendly areas at Mardi Gras. I take offense at the statement: "authentic Mardi Gras"
That's a total crock!
One of the great things about Mardi Gras is that it's for everyone- childfree and childed people, old and young, everyone getting along enjoying themselves.
Maybe Bourbon Street is "adult only" but parades do not go down Bourbon Street.
