What are some of your favorite wedding songs? Love songs? If you are already married, what did you and your partner dance to for the first time? If you are planning your wedding, what are some songs you are considering for your first dance?

A few of my favorites:

One in a Million You- Larry Graham
Wedding Song (There Is Love)- Paul Stookey
Longer- Dan Fogelberg

We had music all over the place at ours, LOL!

For our first dance - "You're Where I Belong" by Trisha Yearwood from the movie "Stuart Little"

We also had a dance with my son and daughter from my first marriage - "You'll Be in My Heart" by Phil Collins from "Tarzan"

During the ceremony, I have tons of musician and singer friends, so we had everything: my cousin playing a live trumpet Voluntary ("Prince of Denmark's March"); "There is Love"; "At the Beginning" from "Anastasia" (one of my other cousins and i about had to duke it out over this song - she got married on New Year's Eve, me in Feb, and we both wanted it, LOL! So our families just got to listen to it twice - but they got live singers at mine - NYAH!) and "The Lord's Prayer" done acapella.

I have to say that sharing a dance with your children was a sweet thing to do. Normally children from a first marriage feel left out and alone at first. So this was a great thing to do, it made them feel apart of the ceremony.

Now that we discussed wedding songs; what about movies and books? What are some of your favorites that are based on getting married?

We haven't chosen all of our songs, but I know we will be including 'Gorecki' by Lamb and 'I Found Love' by The Free Design.

I also love 'All Is Full Of Love' by Bjork, and 'Wild Is The Wind' by Nina Simone.

I love Seal's "Kiss from a Rose"

My SO and I love a lot of songs, but our first dance would probably be "Everything" by Michael Buble. Pretty upbeat, but it's a really beautiful song.
