I make altered books. I haven't made any in a few months because I am so busy lately. I make them out of regular hardback books that I buy at the thrift store for 50 cents and I also have made them out of composition notebooks as well. I haven't attempted making an altered CD but I had a friend make me one for Christmas a year or so ago and I loved it.

I love altered books. I tried to make one once, but the pages stuck together. I tried using a modge podge sealer, but paint still pulled. Any ideas?

Did you try putting wax paper between the pages? I had that problem at first to. If you prop the book open to dry completely then put wax paper between the pages, it should be ok. It is also ideal to store your altered books this way too incase they are expose to warm temperatures. If you decide to display them, you can remove the wax paper. Modge podge in my opinion is THE best sealer out there for any type of art work.
