Secound Round of this game just started...

A--- APPLE. You've heard, "an apple a day will keep the doctor away." Apples are delicious, easy to carry for snacking, low in calories, a natural mouth freshener, and they are still very inexpensive.

BROCCOLI - 30 calories in a cup

Broccoli boosts the immune system, lowers the incidence of cataracts, supports cardiovascular health, builds bones, and fights birth defects. Broccoli is one of the most nutrient-dense foods known.

A researcher at Johns Hopkins University discovered a compound in broccoli that not only prevents the development of tumors by 60 percent but also reduced the size of tumors that did develop by 75 percent.

(Wouldn't you like to play this game with the WHOLE alphabet? There's salmon, tomatoes, walnuts, etc. There's alot of great foods that are wonderful for us, and I'd love to play!) laugh

V - Venison is high in protein and iron but low in saturated fat and has B vitamins for better energy and cardiovascular health.

E - eggs boost brain and heart health, improve cholesterol, prevents blood clots, prevents macular degeneration and cataracts. MOST importantly, eggs have CHOLINE which is essential to build fat substances in brain health and build neurotrasmittors between nerves and muscles. AS WE AGE, this is extremely essential! Eggs are a low cost and high protein food.
