According to the study men take the same pleasure out of looking at an attractive female form as they do from having a curry or making money whereas women do not take any significant reward from looking at pictures of men.

Men are like that.

It happened several times that my daughter was looking at my eyes when a beautiful woman passing, so always I care to do that when she is with me.

Aha! I'm allergic to curry! So this explains why I am gay! lol..
What about when a woman ovulates though? Haven't they determined that a woman's appearance is tended to differently ( she will dress in skirts rather than pants, for example, or use cosmetics perhaps even if she doesn't normally) but also that the kind of man she finds more attractive at that time of the month is the more masculine dominant featured man.
So there's something chemical going on there...and perhaps men are just programmed to always sustain some chemical response since we are biologically able to breed ( sorry, sounds coarse! )with many women to sustain the race. The whole animal side of us.
However, one interesting study says :
"A great deal of past research has suggested that men are more visual creatures than women and get more aroused by erotic images than women. Anokhin says the fact that the women's brains in this study exhibited such a quick response to erotic pictures suggests that, perhaps for evolutionary reasons, our brains are programmed to preferentially respond to erotic material.

"Usually men subjectively rate erotic material much higher than women," he says. "So based on those data we would expect lower responses in women, but that was not the case. Women have responses as strong as those seen in men."
This is from a study by researchers at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis in which they studied brainwave activity of men and women.
So maybe we really aren't all that different after all!

Nice information and descriptions, thanks, but are you meant, men and women haven't much differences about erotic and gaze to opposite sex or you meant about all the issues?

What I gather from the research is that there are different " reward" factors inherent to each sex which are biologically instilled in us to perpetuate the species.
BUT I think a lot of the ways previous studies showed that men were more visually oriented i.e: their brains light up more looking at women then vice versa... now seem to be put to the test. I think there is a different kind of response in women unless you compare them to bridge brain males, but that does not preclude that women are equally reactive and/or responsive.
I find it interesting, as a gay man, since I am not sure whether my brain is hardwired female or male according to these studies. They do tend to entertain and amuse me!

As a gay male, I think our brains are hardwired just like a straight males, to be visually drawn to what attracts us.

Also like women, we tend to be more emotionally and physically drawn to those who attract us as well.
