This is going to sound really stupid, but I got my nose pierced 6 days ago (a stud on the right side) and I'm wondering if anyone has any tips on blowing noses as I'm not sure if there's a technique to it. I've just been holding the stud in while blowing softly and using cotton buds to clean any "leftovers"
Thanks

You just have to take care. Try to wipe your nose without yanking on the stud. Blotting gently is a good technique as is blowing only about medium strength if the piercing is tender. A ring can also stay in place better for some people.

I have my nose pierced with a stud (nose screw) also. I remember in the beginning I worried about nose blowing as well. However, there's really not much to it. Be careful not to yank on the jewelry, but other than that you should be fine. I tend to put my finger directly next to the piercing when using a tissue, though don't actually hold the stud in place. Vigorous blowing can force the screw part to come out of your nostril, but the stud/shaft part should be fine. It really becomes easy after awhile, especially as the piercing heals and becomes less tender smile

I second Tigress' opinion. When I originally had my nose pierced I was afraid that just about everything would accidentally pull out the screw somehow. You basically have to just be cautious and trust that it will stay. I'm a runner and, well, without being totally gross, while running your nose does get quite snotty sweaty calling for a tissue. Plus the heat and exertion makes the piercing hole looser (like a pore). However, even then using a tissue was never a problem. You'll settle in to it.
