This weekend, it's all about the grandkids. I must skip my weekly bowling club tournament even though it's at one of my favorite houses and I may be able to do pretty good.
Mikela, the 12 year old, and Megan, the 6 year old, are bowling their first State. Mikela did super several months ago in her first City tournament when she won scholarship money by winning her division Singles, and Scratch and Handicap All Events titles. She also bowled in the Pepsi Invitational and placed 4th in the city sectional.
Megan, wanting to follow her sister, can't keep still about this week's competition. She averages 37 but the past three weeks of regular league, she was breaking 45 and above regularly. She got her first over 50 game patch three weeks ago and just kept bowling steadily.
Saturday is the Team Event and Sunday is the Doubles and Singles.
