I don't believe the husband should have gotten off scott-free, a person should always take the blame for actions he/she committed.

However, I fully agree that the wife should be charged in this case. She set the whole thing in motion with her lie to try to save herself grief.

my mom once served on a jury in a case similar to this. The husband came home to find his wife in bed with a younger man only 19). But the wife had been leaving "hints" in order to make her husband jealous. He shot and killed the boy. He was convicted of manslaughter; but my mom always said she felt the woman should have been on trial, too - because she was as much to blame for what happened.

This man was told by her wife that she was being raped. So he shot at the man.

There are always two sides to every story. I believe the man reacted how any man would if his wife told him she was being raped.

Imagine if the wife was being really raped, no body could have pointeda finger at the husband, but praised him. Here the poor fellow killed somebody but his own wife was a cheat. Ehat mental trauma this man must be undergoing. He must be cursing the duplicity of his wife. He must have cared for her to kill someone to save her. Am I right, Erika?

Adultery is wrong.
False accusation is wrong.
Rape is wrong.
Murder is wrong.

Both should be charged.

There is an almighty Karmic tangle here....

Good grief...... What a mess.... three lives absolutely ruined in one fell swoop, simply because somebody wanted to have a bit of carnal fun....

Karma indeed.....

Murder is not correct, is it?
certainly an intervention should occur. But to take a life is not skillful action.
There is no excuse for depriving another person of their life through malice or revenge.
It is patently obvious by this case alone, that the husband may well be mistaken.....

Too late now, to rectify, isn't it?

let us not talk about this story.
Say ina situation other than killing there is no way left for a husband to save his wife, what would he do? will he think about right and wrong of murder? His duty is towards his wife and to save her of rape. If a husband is a lean man of 5 feet and the rapist is a copy of a professional wrestler, the husband can only kill. No way out.
