Hey Mavis (and anyone else who may be interested)

I finally have pictures of my blue capped cordon bleu finches up on a webpage and some pix of young chicks (with many more to come - just not developed yet).

The webpage link is www.equijourneys.com/finches.html... I will keep it updated with even more pictures expected in the next few days.

Sadly, one of the chicks died yesterday - had been having some problems for several days and just wasn't able to catch up. <img src="/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" /> However, I have two very healthy and happy chicks right at the fledging "anytime now" stage. One is super-active and trying to fly whenever I have taken him out for health and feeding checks. The other is not as brave but is not far behind. The "foster" moms are doing a terrific job.

Mavis - if you want to pull any of the pictures off of the webpage - feel free! If you would prefer the originals (via email) just email me your addy and I will be happy to send them along. I have some great pix taken over the past week - its amazing how much they change in just half a day!!!

Thanks for all the encouragement, ya'll! You keep it fun!

I'm so sorry about you losing one of your chicks Shannon. Sounds like the other 2 are doing great though thanks to all your hard work.

You've done a wonderful job on your web page! Pictures are great and your descriptions of what you are going through & how you are handling the various roadblocks is excellent.

Thank you so much for your nice comment about me. I really appreciate it.

After work tonight, I'll put a link to your site from the Canary & Finch Links section.

edited to add - I decided to go & add the link this morning before work & put it in both the Canary & Finch Information and Bird Profiles & Links.
