I cook for my birds like I do for my family - quick and easy stuff for the most part (Itty Bitty Birdie Bites being the exception - they take a long time and a LOT of ingredients). Probably most of my "recipes" are things I toss together depending on what I have in the house - lol. But one of the favorite things I do are edible toys. I slice apples and squash and peppers into rings, and make "beads" of cranberry sauce. Then I hang everything in the cages and the birds destroy and eat them. I'm sure there are other things I could use, probably TONS of other things. But these are the favorites of what I've tried, especially the squashes (rind, flesh, seeds, and all) and the cranberry sauce. I've also added corn "wheels" I've cut from the cob. The SS skewers are among the best investments I've made.
I know that's not exactly a "recipe" but it's fun. And edible <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> .
