just thought I'd introduce myself.. have 39 birds, 6 are pets, the rest are mainly breeders. most of them are either keets, cockatiels or conures, out of the 6 pets 5 are conures lol.. does that tell ya I like conures.. I'd like to get some of the biger ones, but, living in a mobile home park it is a little hard to have birds that are too loud. may try a grey sometime tho.. anyway, I'm glad to find this forum.. may not have tons of time to post, but seems interesting.. would read more tonight, but, I'm about to fall over asleep lol Lin

Hi Lin, Welcome to the Bird Forum. I'm looking forward to hearing more about your birds. What types of conures do you have? I've got one Green Cheek Conure named Griffin. What's your 6th pet bird? You are also welcome to join the Bird Chat on Saturdays at 9:30 eastern, 8:30 central and 6:30 pacific times.

hi.. conures I have as pets are one greencheek, one sun conure, one Nanday conure,(that I raised from day one) 2 patagonian conures, male and female, hoping they will want to breed someday.. the 6th is a lovebird lol.. but actually the greencheek and the love bird are bonded believe it or not, and live happily in the same cage, I'm told that is very unusual.. I also have 2 nanday breeders, they are rescued and pluck like naked lol.. and they will eat their chicks on hatching. so.. thats why I raised my one nanday from day one. and he is a doll.. my baby, can never give him up.. lol.. he was attacking my turkey sandwich today, wasn't too sure if I would get any.. then, he kept pulling my speghetti off the fork and throwing it on the floor.. lol yeah lunch was a little of this leftover a little of that left over lol lin

That sounds like a great collection of birds Lin. I'm imagining the noise with all those conures though My lovebird and one of my cockatiels bonded so I can see one bonding with a greencheek. I'll bet they're sweet together.

Hi Lin!
What kinds of conures do you have? Of my flock, 6 are pets also but only 1 is a conure - a greencheek named Chuckie. And he has "issues" - lol.
I lived in a mobile home park for several years, so I don't have any loud birds in my flock either. Although I have a house now, I live in an urban area where the homes are really close together, and since I like the windows open whenever possible, I still don't get noisy birds. I turned down a jenday and an umbrella cockatoo last year that a lady was giving away for that reason although I helped her by taking her 3 lovebirds (nobody seems to want little birds, even if they're free) and her CAG...
Anyway, nice to "meet" you <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> .
