I'm glad you were able to get that figured out.
I recommend always using a respirator, and creating enough ventilation that the vapors leave by the time you take the respirator off (otherwise you're just breathing them in again).
I have this challenge even when soldering, although it's less of a problem now that I purchased a little ventilator fan to stick in my window over the soldering area. It's a hassle, but I do worry about vapors, which can effect kids and pets in the house too.
