I love Hallowe'en: the frosty night, the great costumes, the scary pumpkins, the candy.....but I missed last year and will miss it again this year! We got married last Oct 22, and were on our Honeymoon in St Maarten on Hallowe'en. This year, we're going to Israel and Turkey (in fact, we leave tomorrow!!). It's exciting to travel and I love it, but I do miss Hallowe'en. When we have kids we'll definitely be around to celebrate it....and then I'll be sad that we're not traveling!

Do you guys get the day off for Halloween? Or do you have to work?

Halloween is not a national holiday in the States so there is school and work. A lot of businesses and restaurants allow the employees to dress up in costumes.

My children are in their teens (I miss the trick or treating days) so we will stay at home and hand out treats to the children in the neighborhood.

I have a Saturday Night Live Halloween Special that we like to watch or a scary movie. We might put on a Halloween music CD too.

We'll have lots of candles lit and snacks to munch on.

Oh that sounds like fun - dressing up at work! I can see that working quite well as a charity thing - pay a dollar to dress up, and have a best costume competition, etc.

I'm going to be at the GA/FL game over Halloween weekend so I';m sure that will be a good time but I just plan on going out, not sure yet what I"m going to be, always pull things together at the last minute;)
