The World Cup. We are so proud of our World Cup Team for qualifying for it after 34 years.
We even reached the 2nd round and were beaten by Italy. A very contraversal penalty but Italy went through and I congratulate them, as if the tables were reversed and we got the penalty shot we would be laughing.
Congratulations the Soccer Roos for showing the world that we can play soccer.

It was brilliant while it lasted. A lot of very exhausted workers crawling into the office, etc, the days after each match (or just calling in).
BTW freespirit, that wouldn't be a Pies scarf you're flaunting there in your avatar, now would it? <img src="/images/graemlins/smirk.gif" alt="" /> (Hear tigers roar...) <img src="/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Yes it is a collingwood scarf.I am a one eyed collingwood supporter and I love the game. I sometimes go to the presidents lunches before the game ( We know a woodsman member) so we get invited along and its nice to sit up in the grand room and have a 3 corse meal with all you can drink while watching the game.Eddie is a really nice guy aswell - so down to earth.
PS: I dont think you will hear the slightest roar comming from the tigers come september <img src="/images/graemlins/beamedup.gif" alt="" />

Well the Cup is over..........The Italians won. They had a lot of help from the referees and their oscar awards diving. Sorry but can not say congratulations.
Like every one I enjoy AFL. Great friends with a past star's mother of Richmond. Matthew Rogers. Happy to see them do well.' Hot of the press. Matthew Rogers and his wife have just had a son......their second child.
My husband and I used to dine in style as well when we lived in Adelaide. We used to go to the corporal boxes for a 3 course meal, listen to a guest speaker and have plenty of wine. I think freespirit would agree a great way to watch the football.

But september is what counts elle... <img src="/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" />
DId you hear on ACA last night that 2 of our beautiful coolingwood boys are the "hottest guys in AFL?"
Brodie holland and Tarrant!!!
Come sept our boys will be in the finals but only if we pull our socks up now.... we have lost the lasdt two after doing so well this year but because we have done so well we only have to win 4 games to guarantee a place in the finals.
I hate to say this but I think Adelaide crows will win the grand final( my hubby follows them)they are just in great form at present and I cant see any team that can stop them.

Agree Adelaide look good. I originally come from South Australia so follow them a bit as well.

Yes I watched dancing with the stars and he has one of the best bodies I have ever seen on a man.He is drop dead gourgeous!!! I DONT want to see Adelaide win the grandfinal ( my husband is allready annoying me....lol..) They are good though... The only thing that will keep them out is injuries and well anything can happen in football as it has become such an even game these days.
