I am so excited, I have finally decided to get my first tatoo! I am getting it in a few weeks. I really had to work myself up to it because I do not deal well with pain but I realized that I have been through so much in my life that I deserve this. I have dealt with a lot of physical and emotional pain and I can handle this. A lot of people are giving me grief because I am going to school to be a teacher and that it is "unappropriate," but I want to do this for me!

My biggest problem now- what to get! I have a few that I want and I can't decide what to get first! I think I may do something with dolphins and the chinese symbol for faith or life or serenity. To me, dolphins hold so much meaning, so much beauty, serenity, peace, love, and passion. I want my tatoo to represent me, my beliefs and my experiences. I think dolphins would definitly do that.

I will keep everyone updated and post pic when I get it done.

My only advice would be, don't go through with something that doesn't feel totally right for you. Otherwise, you sound like you're working up to a significant personal moment, one that you want to mark with a tattoo.
