Saturday night Katrina Hill and Molly Edmonson were stabbed to death and then beaten with a hammer. Katrina was aware of Kyle[ the killer] following her around for the past week. So she called her cousin Molly and asked if she would come and stay with her just for the weekend. Molly came up and stayed with Katrina in her apartment. Molly's father tried calling Molly on Sunday because she didn't show up for a family event. Molly didn't answer her phone several times, so her father decided to head to Katrina's apartment and find out what's wrong. When he walked in he found his daughter and neice stabbed to death. The killer, Kyle,18, drove one of the victims car to the police station and confessed about doing all of it.

My grandma is friends with Molly's grandma[ Myra]. My grandma talked to Myra about it and she said Katrina has been afraid of Kyle for some time now. Ever since the semester started he has been following her and this week it got out of hand and so Katrina called Molly to stay with her.

I just can't even imaging finding someone stabbed to death or even dead on the ground.

Katrina never dated Kyle but she would always get phone calls from him, mainly he was stalking her.

This guy wasn't very big at all, i have seen him before when i went up with Myra and my grandma last summer to visit Katrina and we were also visiting my cousin in Cedar Rapids. He followed us when we were walking in the mall for about 10 minutes but we didn't see him after that.He could take out one person but not two, so i am thinking who ever got stabbed first was on the ground and the other girl was in shock.

By the way this happened in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Also known as the home town of Ashton Kutcher.

Apparently Kyle Marin was well known to Johnson County Sheriffs by late 2003. They had over 16 contacts with Kyle. Several incidents are public record, though,. 2 incidents of vandalisn when Marin used a baseball bat, one fight over a girl during which Kly beat another person with a brick, and an argument over video game console that led to Marin pionting a shotgun to another person.

I think if the cops knew about all the stuff he did like pointing a gun at a person and attacking a person with a brick, why didnt they press charges? if they would of done something the murders most likely wouldn't have happened.

This is some very disturbing information & you know how I feel about children/teens being sentenced as adults.

And, for those who don't know me, I don't agree with CHILDREN/TEENS being sentenced as ADULTS.

There is no doubt or agrument, that Kyle is violent, disturbed and what not,
but I guess it's the hope in me, which would like to find the "root core of this cause."

Children are not born "bad."

There is responsibility he must face for "all" of his actions, but I would like to dig deeper for the reasoning of his dysfunction and hatred towards the world, which I believe stems from a very dysfunctional environment or a mental health cause.

I don't know who this person or how she got any of this information so let me please point out the right information before almost52761 says anymore ignorant false information.

Katrina was visiting Molly (one of her close friends and also her cousin) for the weekend. Katrina, Molly, and Kyle attended a party on Saturday night and everything was fine that night. Sunday night, Katrina's father tried calling Katrina because Katrina didn't show up for a family event. After many calls, Katrina's father went over to Molly's apartment to find out what was wrong and where Katrina was. Around 5:00 P.M., Katrina's father found his neice and his daugther stabbed to death. Two hours later, Kyle, 18, drove one of the victims car to the police station and pleaded guilty.

Molly was never afraid of Kyle, Kyle never followed her so get that stupid thought out of your little mind. Kyle, Molly, and Katrina were all friends. They enjoyed eachother's company.

Real Story:

Katrina never did date Kyle because Katrina wasnt the one Kyle liked. Kyle liked Molly, not Katrina. Get it straight. He was never stalking her so get that stupid thought out of your mind. He called her to hang out, like normal people. He never once stalked her so shut up about it.

My friend wasnt big. He was a normal sized man. And when you visited Katrina with your grandma, he wasnt stalking her. I know my friend wouldnt walk around the mall stalking Katrina. Because last summer, my friend was in re-hab so don't saying bullshit lies.


Overall, my point is. Kyle was one of my friends, its hard to say but he was one of them. Why was he my friend? because even though he had issues with his family, and with himself. he was always a good guy. of course he had anger problems but we never could control that....we never thought it would be this far. we never thought our friend would kill two girls that are my age. you pointing out false information, really distrubs me and the people that actually know him. he wasnt stalking you, your grandma, and katrina because he was in rehab last summer, theres no way. you really need to stop talking about this subject until you know the right information and you know what youre talking about. I have never heard of someone being so ignorant and [censored] stupid. get your informatin straight, get your facts straight and then talk to me about this but as of now, keep your mouth shut. well I am sorry for disturbing you but it is what I heard and read, I know some of the things I read are false but it is what I heard. I respect your opinion, and hopefully you would have respected mine, which you didn't.
You were/are friends with him and I feel sorry for you if you have gone through pain of this.
But I honestly don't think it was right for you to "attack" me, it is my opinion and you don't have to agree with it at all but i think you shouldn't have just pin pointed me out even though I posted it, you could of just stated your opinion and everything you knew instead of calling me ignorant and [censored] stupid.

I know how you feel about it being a sensative subject, my cousin recently shot and killed my aunt and then held my cousin "hostage" and then he killed himself, but when people say stuff that is false, i just simply tell them it is wrong, i dont just go off on them telling them that they are [censored] stupid and ignorant.

all your information is a lie and false information. it is not what you experienced and its not what you heard. you heard wrong because since April 23rd, i have not ever heard someone mixing up katrina and molly like you did and i have never heard the news say that kyle was a stalker or any sort of that. im not giong to write to the newspaper because so far, the informatin they have given out is right. youre the one who is saying kyle was talking to katrina and how katrina is in college and has her own apartment and how molly was visiting her. yuo need to get it straight hun. i will call you ignorant for this whole situation and you haven't experienced anything and it shows that you havent because of the false information you are still giving out.
