My daughter is 8 months old and has always been early on all her goals ( holding head up, rolling, crawling, standing) But she wont hold her bottle.I know It doesnt seem like something big/bad...just that I see kids a month or so younger doing. She holds things all the time, but isnt big on putting things in her mouth other then her bikky. If anyone has a trick, let me know. Thanks.

maybe she doesn't want to hold bottle because mommy does it and it leaves her hands free to play or cuddle <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Trust me, it can be a pain holding and feeding them when other things need to get done, but before you know it they are 19 months old and smearing gross things all over the place and laughing at the thought of cuddling...and dont get me started on my older kids!!!

My baby girl is 6 months old and I've started giving her a cup with a handle attached on either side. This is what I did with my other two when they were babies and eventually they learned what to do - I completly bypassed bottles as they were both breastfed for approx 1 year. If I could give you any advice about your baby it would be - do not worry, all babies develop at different rates, we are all unique! I spent too much time worrying about my first baby and about what he could do/not do - just enjoy your darling daughter!
