Are you trying to say the founding fathers founded a government on greed, hatred, and delusion? Please explain.

I don't think the founding father based our government on greed, hatred, and delusion, but I think politics is saturated with it. And sadly, I think this proposed bill is rooted in it.

Hehe, that was suppossed to representing politics now, not then. as I look aver my post I realize didn't express that well. <img src="/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" />

Opps, I'll change that to what I meant it to read.

I was hoping to show the difference from how I feel our founding fathers intended the governement to work and how the governement is run today.

It is absolutely mind-boggling that they are attempting this! Didn't anyone in the Missouri legislature read our Constitution? If I were from Missouri (I'm from Iowa, which is near), I'd be deeply, DEEPLY embarrassed!

This says that the Missouri legislature views the efforts of their Christian churches as failures. If the Christian churches were succeeding in their efforts to lead their congregations in living the lives of good Christians, attempting such a stupid, illegal law would be unnecessary.

I don't know that stating the majority religion in Missouri would do anything other than state an obvious fact. Exactly what would this bill change?

Personally, I think they know this won't hold and are just grandstanding. But the current political environment is so anti-Christian that I believe they are trying to make that point. And it's working, they are getting a lot of attention. Much of politics is about getting in the news, not about changing laws. They are raising awareness.

Agreed. There is a lot of anti-christian sentiment in the world. More so in Europe and elsewhere but it's on the rise here too. The Bible says that will turn to persecution in the near future. I can see that beginning.
