Yes, I have written some low grade fiction, although I have destroyed most of it. I used to write poetry too, until I realized I sounded like a third rate Charles Bukowski clone. My problem is that I have some great ideas but the transition from "idea" to "finished product that someone else might want to read" is a rocky one. I would be glad to read your work and give you feedback, or share some of my ideas, or something. I even quit reading fiction; now I read philosophical books and books about computers when I'm not attempting to write HTML. I have written songs too, and a couple of them are pretty good. I'm new to bellaonline and I could use some guidance on how to use these forums also. Um, I just realized I have given you SO much more than what you asked for. I'll be around.

Welcome, JARW and Stevethesullen, I saw the title and had to check it out. So many kinds of writers...
What kind of music do you write? subject, style?
How about your fiction? Would you be willing to add a link to something that we could go to and check out? As you check other boards on BellaOnline, you'll see other writers have links to their writings. It's pretty cool.

Trish: My songs are folk rock, nothing very complicated. They're mostly about relationships. Sometimes in relationships, if you want to stand up for yourself, you have to hurt the other person's feelings. There's no way around it except to not stand up for yourself, and then the relationship becomes unbearable. That might be what my songs are about. I currently have nothing for people to link to but that sounds like a good idea. Have a nice night, or day, whatever.

I'd like to hear a bit of your lyrics, if you care to share. Maybe even some of your poetry. I did alot of writing while I was in school and it was fun to see how the creative juices would flow at different times of day in different places.
You have a good night, too. I noticed that you answered about the same time the next evening that I had answered. Pretty cool!

Trish: I haven't forgotten about this thread. Here's one of my poems: How futile it is to resist you, O death! Like a frozen river you are not changed.
What do you think? (the auto formatting kind of ruins my use of poetic whitespace but oh well.)

I'm currently writing a novel, so I guess I'm a fiction writer. Though I haven't had any fiction published as of yet. I've had some poetry published in the past, but I'm mainly a travel journalist right now.

Hi I am new to this forum as well. I usually hang out in the wrestling forum and we have a decent story going on there where everyone adds a a line or a paragraph or whatever, but no one can add twice in a row. You have to wait until someone writes after your post. Its called the Bellaonline wrestling story. Check it out and feel free to add if you'd like. Warning: it would help if you are a wrestling fan.
I am in the process of writing three novels. One is about wrestling, one is a western and the third is of a Christian nature. About a man who came out of a gang when he was a kid, turned his life over to God and now is building rescue missions around the world and the current one he is building, there is a gang trying to stop him.
Anyway, hope to keep posting here to get and give ideas.

Here be another writer.
I'm working on three books: a suspense romance novel, a dystopian novel, and a romance novel.
I want to be able to finish the above and get them published, and also write for the Harlequin Blaze line.
