Whether your child was the bully or the one being bullied, have you had to deal with this topic?

We have not had to deal with this yet - my one son is in fourth grade and I even got a book a few years ago about Bullies but not yet necessary.

I am very worried about middle school and preparing now for it. Got a book on middle school years. My son is high functioning autistic and has some traits and mannerisms that could be misconstrued by older mature kids.

But the kid is clueless about that stuff and not interested in girls and wants to work with animals, so that is on his mind 24/7.

I do worry about the area we live in though, Los Angeles because they are always having racial tensions at high schools and the jail systems. We are already a minority as caucasians with most being Hispanic at the schools, but as they enter middle and high school it is really a mixed bag of ethnicities.
